I’m Janet Klin, a German-qualified lawyer turned People & Culture leader with over a decade of experience building and scaling People functions across Europe, the UK, and the US. Having worked extensively with companies based in both London and Berlin, I navigate international environments with ease and fluency.
My foundation in employment law gives me a unique lens to navigate complex people challenges with precision and care, while my operational experience ensures I deliver real impact from strategy through execution. I work seamlessly in both English and German, supporting diverse teams and leadership across borders.
I’ve had the privilege to lead People teams in (VC-backed) tech companies, a private equity + portfolios, fast-growing startups, and most recently at a top-tier venture capital law firm. Across these roles, I’ve built scalable recruiting processes, designed performance and feedback cultures, crafted onboarding and development programs, and managed HR compliance across multiple jurisdictions.

Onboarding, employee experience and learning and development: I design onboarding and offboarding processes that create seamless, engaging experiences for employees from day one to exit. I focus on building intentional, values-driven employee experiences that foster belonging and motivation. Additionally, I develop career leveling and progression frameworks alongside L&D strategies to support long-term employee growth and retention.
Employment law and compliance: My legal expertise means I approach HR with rigor and care, from contracts and policies to complex redundancy processes across Germany, the UK, Nordics, US, and France.
Scale-up and investor insight: Having worked both in-house and on the investor side, I understand the pressures and opportunities of scaling businesses. I bring a pragmatic, calm mindset to workforce planning, org design, and post-merger integrations.
